Medieval Festival,
Fort Tryon Park, New York, NY
Sunday, September 28, 2:30 pm - 6 pm
We'll see the
Medieval
Festival. You can enjoy seeing and hearing Medieval knights, music,
dance, jesters and other performances. Some food will be available in
the park, but it's fairly expensive, so you can also bring your own
snacks.
Weather
permitting, we're meeting at the southern entrance to Fort Tryon
Park: Take the A train to 190th Street. There may be an exit nearer the
front of the uptown train that is closer to our meeting place. Or you
can take the #4 or #98 bus. Get off or walk
to where Fort Washington Avenue and Cabrini Boulevard meet the entrance to the park at a
traffic circle, just where it becomes Margaret Corbin Drive. See
map.
If you'd like more info or the weather is questionable, call
1-917-428-1061.
International
Potluck Picnics
- two Sundays in Central Park
Sunday, September 7, 2:15 pm - 4:30 pm and Sunday, October 19, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm at
The Pool pond
Bring your native dishes or drinks to share, meet our volunteers from
all over the world. All are welcome!!!
Please let us know what you plan to bring,
or for more information, call business hours Monday - Friday:
212 280 0333. Weekend phone
number 917 428 1061.
Weather
permitting, we're meeting at The Pool in Central Park. Take the subway to
96th Street or the bus to 100th Street. Enter Central Park at Central
Park West and 100th Street. Follow the footpath heading to the left and
you'll find us near the shore of The Pool pond. See
map.
Please note: We will not have
cooking facilities or a fridge there, so unless you can get your food
there already hot (or cold), please bring something that tastes good at
room temperature.
If it rains, we're meeting at our office.
At this location we have a large fridge and freezer, and also cooking
facilities to re-heat your dish.
Important:
When you arrive, rather than dialing 13
on the intercom, call 1-917-428-1061
for entry.
If the weather is questionable, call
1-917-428-1061
to confirm which
location.

For the End Poverty Campaign and all
our public service work.
More than 27,000 innocent people die every day
from hunger related causes.
Let's stop this silent genocide. For a safer,
more just and sustainable world.
The End Poverty Campaign is a public education and
advocacy campaign. We're working to raise public support to help
millions of people lift themselves from extreme poverty.
