Patriotism
Patriotism is a kind of religion; it is the egg from which wars are
hatched. Patriotism is the passion of fools and the most foolish of passions. Patriotism is the willingness to kill and be killed for trivial
reasons. Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all
other countries because you were born in it. Talking of patriotism, what humbug it is; it is a word which always
commemorates a robbery. There isn't a foot of land in the world which doesn't represent
the ousting and re-ousting of a long line of successive owners. War The real trouble with war...is that it gives no one a chance to kill
the right people. War is much too serious to be left to military men. Making the world safe for hypocrisy. If any question why we died, Nobody minds a war once in a while if it doesn't last too long, and
isn't in your neighborhood. Frankly, I'd like to see government get out of war altogether and
leave this whole field to private industry.
